The new OEX CEO led the team that found the worlds biggest oil discovery of 2004 for Cairn plc..a billion barrel field in Rajasthan India. This was discovered on ground given up on by Shell a mile away from a dry hole drilled by the major.Needless to say the tiny oiler Cairn share price rocketed.
Could Bruce do the same for OEX? Well I think in the change of MD we have swapped a journalist/geo for an oilfinder/geo & that sounds like a good deal to me.
