Did you know that when Mining Companies build water storages for their operating mines, they can do it for anything from half to a fifth of the price that the Government can construct the same capacity.
The Government does two things to avoid building Dams.
They commission multiple Overly Expensive Quotes so they can say “Oh it’s too expensive to do”
or
they just continually commission feasibility studies that are followed by more feasibility studies so that “Groundhog Day” becomes the norm.
If they build any Dams you can bet your bottom dollar there will be kickbacks galore for their Mates and the Party.
A sort of “Reverse Pork Barreling” if you like.
