Hey alphman,

Let's not forget that Cameby Downs (next door) has a 4 billion tonne coal resource on 13,000 hectares. The geology is all but the same at Columboola except that the area is over 90,000 hectares.

That's 7 times the size of the Cameby Downs coal mine. Cameby Downs at last reports had 1.7bt of open-cut resource and 700mt proven to JORC standard.

I'm starting to think that 4 billion tonnes for all of Metro's coal tenements could be an understatement.

Am I being too logical or optimistic?

A railway line (on Metro's northern boundary) already runs along the Warrego Highway and in time the SBR (connecting Wandoan to the Port of Gladstone) will all but ensure prosperity for all coal miners in the area.
