No interest rate cut by the feds? Economic slowdown seems to be a given. Suppose the market has to reevaluate things as this will have an impact on forward earning. More bad news on the subprime thingy are likely too. The risk has to be priced into the market as noone seems to know the extend of it yet.The feds have so far done a good job at keeping things stable, but i doubt that everything is hunky dory and fixed now. More downside is very possible. People probably also like to be fully hedged in these uncertain times.
