so you were taught self-discipline, restraint.... as well as respect for the comparative vulnerability of women.

I didn't learn this properly until I was late 20's.... and that through my own experience and learning about DV and womens' rights at uni.

my old dad wasn't interested in kids. he preferred the company at the RSL. he didn't teach but set a very poor example.
