I really don’t need to. These days I am more concerned about virtue signalling, patronising prats, men who objectify women and who easily descend to abuse.

when it was over though I made a promise that I would talk about it. What I realised was that silence keeps us trapped. When I talked about it I discovered how many women had experienced abuse. Most just didn’t talk about it. For some it was horrific and for others it was more like the slow death of their soul. I spoke to a few men who had never before talked about their experience and started to see patterns

I don’t see myself defined by the experience but it will always be part of my life.
