I can see where your coming from with regard to the try negating the Penalty but all the same if it was a shoulder charge,Slater should be cited and charged as such.imo
It comes down to definition of a shoulder charge imo atm and I'm not clear on it now, compared to years gone by.I maybe out of touch.
Side on, to front on, is a big difference in the contact area with recklessness and intent using the Slater tackle as an example.imo
