OK Red & EL,
I have torn up the dreaded envelope, so I won't be using that formula again.
BUT, if the oil in the new field is 0.1% of the volume (also thanks to Brettw68 for the actual calc req'd) then that is gross 200k barrels/sq km of field, , so 10 sq km's is 2mill bbl etc. That is why I did the 1 x 1 km area.
Anyway, we will have to wait some time for the field to be proven up.
If we can finish above 80c tonight, then we have broken through the resistance of previous all time high. Which has been touched 3 times previously.
