I have just done a back of envelope type calculation that the new field @ 600m depth would work out at another 200 million barrels of oil to add to reserves.
How I worked this out was using previous drill locations that also found the anomaly are spread over approx 1 square kilometre, and combined with an average thickness of 50m, and assume approx 75% recovery.
So I would suspect that a few analysts etc have spread the word to clients, that this is a significant change to the company upside potential.
