    Archer is in the process of commercialising technology that has the potential to accelerate the development of complex biosensing for portable in-vitro diagnostics. You will be working directly with national and international industry and research partners, and inventors of innovative technology.

    The Role

    We are looking to hire for the newly created full-time role of Biotechnology Development Manager. The role requires 1-4 years postdoctoral experience with a strong technical background in molecular biology (or similar). The role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is based in the Sydney CBD.

    The role requires the right to live and work in Sydney, Australia on a full-time basis.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Some of the key duties and responsibilities of the role are:

    • Manage and contribute to the development and implementation of Archer’s biotechnology projects.
    • Apply best practice in the field of biotechnology related to diagnostics, biomaterials, and biochemistry.
    • Participate in the development of intellectual property in-line with agreed strategy and policy.
    • Work closely with Archer team members and key external stakeholders.
    • Work within a complex stakeholder map to plan and prioritise workloads, meet objectives, and continually improve performance and results.
    • Grow Archer’s strategic network in the field of human health.

    Some of the specific duties and responsibilities of the role are:

    • Execute on technical development plans associated to Archer’s biotechnology projects.
    • Ensure appropriate and cost-effective contractual arrangements with technology development partners.
    • Contribute to applications for relevant project funding.
    • Identify opportunities related to the commercialisation of intellectual property and other assets.
    • Report, document, and assess completed business development milestones.
