ABG is chosen as preferred technical supplier for offshore
biodiesel plant
ABG is pleased to announce that it has been chosen by a subsidiary of a major offshore
energy company as the preferred supplier for the design, engineering and commissioning
services for a Biodiesel production facility. The offshore market has considerably more
favorable regulatory conditions to biodiesel production than those of the Australian market
place. The project is subject to local planning and government approvals, final financial
close and contract negotiation.
The technology offer is closely modelled on ABG’s successful Narangba facility using the
company’s proprietary fully continuous flow technology. The low capital cost of the
facility coupled with proven robust technology capable of processing a wide range of
feedstock efficiently were among the chief factors in making ABG the preferred supplier
of technology.
ABG is pleased with the acknowledgement of an offshore party taking up its technology,
however remains mindful of the regulatory and contractual negotiations to be completed
before the project receives final approval.
ABG will keep the market appraised of the situation in the coming weeks.
