    I for one dont buy this story. For starters, the production of synthetic oil from catalysed pyrolysis from organic waste has already been demonstrated, and is likely to compete with oil at less than $45 US a barrel. Then there is the electric car, which could surpass petrol and deisel in a short time. Both of these technologies are possible now, and both have the prospect of further improvement. For example, the production of the EEstor ultracapacitor would allow motorists to travel over 800 kms on $9 of electricity. Not a bad selling point.
