So we do have a problem because this illusion of a biosecurity state "worst case scenario" must be broken.
It cannot be passed on to our kids. They need to understand virology, at least RNA virology, is wholly dependent on synthetic RNA and DNA. There is no other way to do it because RNA doesn't grow in a dish.
But they can definitely sequence it. So they get this RNA and claim they're finding sequences. They can definitely make a large quantity of it and test it in a laboratory.
And so the bottom line is these people could even be lying about what they're finding because they can test whatever they want to test.
"oh, we found some new exosomes with some new genes in them, and since they're not yours, they're 'viruses', we can study them as much as we want without ethical concerns"
Claiming they're finding these signals in bats just gives them an excuse to study the same signal in humans, under the pretense they're studying something from bats.
Do you see the problem here? They make a lot of this DNA and they either use it directly or convert it to RNA. Whether they use it on a cell culture, or an animal, or make a large quantity of it, its all the same. They call it "infectious clones". They can make as much as they want using the same biomanufacturing they use to make anti-bodies and venom.
Instead of calling them "infectious clones" they should be called synthetic DNA and RNA in quantity.
Once they move to clones... once they move to pure molecules they are just transforming and transfecting cells and animals. They are not recapitulating anything in nature. They're doing bioweapons research.
