It is also worth noting the other substantial shareholder in ACL; namely the Orbis Group of companies. The offshore based Orbis group owns 9% of ACL, they also own another 9% via their Australian registered business which is called Allen Gray. Hunter Hall and the Orbis Group combined there account for almost 30% of the share registry. While both managers are well respected in the market place, Orbis is the one that it worth noting the most; as they are one of the most respected fund managers in the world and one of the most active investors in this space.
