This thread shows the difference in expectations by shareholders in a company.

Most of the best companies in the world give conservatively but accurate guidance and let their quarterly/half yearly accounts speak for themselves.

Other companies are into self-promotion. Traders love these companies because of the wild fluctuations in their SP.

I don't want to invest in a company that loses credibility with analysts who quickly raise their antennae when they see continuous promotion by management.

Been there - done that.
