A move to the US is very risky. More so than just having a parallel US listing, as it exposes this company to the real threat of being nationalized under the recently enacted "Defence preparedness executive order", which allow the US government to seize control of privately owned assets when there is a national emergency.

Now of course we all know that the only time Biota's main products will be selling like hotcakes is when there is a national or international emergency, so by design they will be in 'short supply' when needed.

So not only does this move place the Biota shareholders at risk, but it also puts the lives of every Australian at risk because if there is a global flu epidemic, there wont be enough Lani to go around, and the US will likely nationalize the company and it's production facilities and provide 100% of the supply to it's own citizens and close allies while it knocks some other countries on the head by allowing millions of foreign citizens of the countries it deems as an economic threat to drown to death in their pus-filled lungs.

I have said it before. This has been another long term effort by US interests to force the IP of Biota onto US soil. We have the ideas and pay for the development, and, as usual, the US takes all of the long term benefits.

"The United States must have an industrial and technological base capable of meeting national defense requirements and capable of contributing to the technological superiority of its national defense equipment in peacetime and in times of national emergency. "

"Upon such approval, the Secretary of the resource department that made the finding may use the authority of section 101(a) of the Act, 50 U.S.C. App. 2071(a), to control the general distribution of any material (including applicable services) in the civilian market."

""Strategic and critical materials" means materials (including energy) that (1) would be needed to supply the military, industrial, and essential civilian needs of the United States during a national emergency, and (2) are not found or produced in the United States in sufficient quantities to meet such need and are vulnerable to the termination or reduction of the availability of the material."
