PainChek's first product is only a commercial proof-of-concept for a broad range of pain detection applications for different markets and different detection methods. For example, a school or a refugee facility could run an algorithm that detects pain using wall cameras to analyse gaits and comparing with historical gaits for that person. This is the start of a very broad use of AI to detect pain for wellness and care of a population. You will more readily understand what I mean about the generality of this technology when you watch this:This technology will start off slowly, and by the way I don't think the majority of RAC facilities are as bad as you assume. You need to think more deeply and generally about a class of AI for which the smart phone dementia PainChek product is only a special case. PCK has limited resources and right now, can only develop one product at a time, and because the products are so novel, it takes time to build a user base of early adopters.
