re: biotech boom will be bigger than dotcom boom.. The number of successfull Australian biotechs can be counted on one hand, if that. They came too late on the scene and have nothing like the finance required to be successfull. More likely we will have some better results from medical devices like Cochlear which do not need so much Government approval. Another market performing well is alternative medicine suppliers like Blackmores and Arrow pharmaceutical; once again little regulation to hold things up. Stay away from anything requiring years of testing; if you must follow these, buy when they are successfull and risk free. It obvious to all that America has no respect for laws these days and its drug companies will happily copy any new drug while the poor inventor has to do all the legal work for recompense. The dot com boom was open to more players as brains rather than money was all that was required. Many successfull dot com companies started in back garden sheds, not likely to happen with biotech.
