Nobody seems to mention biotechs (particularly those with near-term earning prospects) as potential safe havens. I noticed with last August's mini slump that some were almost untouched or recovered quite quickly. Even if a recession hits the west will still continue to be afflicted by cancer, diabetes, arthritis etc associated with a large and aging population.
Any thoughts?
