Morning all,
Friday produced a good day for biotechs with many stocks up over 10%. Twinvests bio health index broke through the $5billion mark, a great first week it must be said. The index will hopefully make it clearer to many investors how promising the ASX biotech sector currently is and the current opportunities that small to medium companies offer. Furthermore, it may slowly work towards debunking the myth that all biotechs are "too risky". Keep up the good work Twinvest.
(the weekly change summary is available on a separate BIOTECH thread).
Winners and losers
As mentioned, the were numerous stocks that finished Friday up over 10%. ECQ and BLT were both up 14.29% to lead the way, closely followed by BNC (10.87%) and TIS (10.13%). AHZ and CUV were also up over 9% and 7% respectively.
EMS suffered the biggest loss on Friday, closing down 11.77% while ISN gave up 6.25%. Most of the remaining stocks in the watchlist produced minor movements.
Firstly, many would know I do hold NEU long term however disclosure aside, I would like to think TonyIndo for his research on the NEU thread. It's constant research like this and that similar to vinn on the MSB thread, that deserves red hearts, not the banter that they often come with. So thanks to these guys for providing many valuable points of research to holders. If anyone else knows of some excellent biotech researchers please post on the thread as they deserve the recognition!
Enough from me, have a great day.
Cheers
