It's difficult to see any announcement coming before atleast the end of the quarter, after the company submits it's detailed brief to the FDA. Even then, as stated by BIT, they will be guided by the FDA on how to progress from there. BIT should hopefully be in talks as we speak with partners/funding agencies to fund a covid trial however one can only assume, BIT will be relying on the guidance from the FDA first to determine the costs of trials etc moving forward.
For me, the unknowns are:
1. When BIT will submit the detailed brief this quarter?
2. How long will it take for the FDA to respond?
We can only hope BIT are on track with this time line as its cash on hand will need topping up soon.
It is possible, although unlikely an announcement may occur regarding it's current HIV trials and a partner although I would imagine it would be too early in the trials for that.
For me, it's looking more likely we will get some news from BIT somewhere from April til the end of the year, with potentially some exciting news.
Hopefully they suprise us with news sooner rather than later.
