Years ago, we developed 43 acres starting with fencing, shed and water tanks.

In one of the tanks, before it filled and the man hole cover was not put on, swallows nested in there, I was reluctant to destroy their mud nest, then they had babies and the amount of bird poop following was huge so put newspaper to catch some.
When they left, cleaned up in time to start catching rain water, but then had dozens roosting on my shed roof from where i caught the water.
Had to start scaring them away with owl statues, wooden cat cut outs, etc.
Just checked our Quakers, and have 7 eggs in one nest and 6 and 4 in 2 others, so a good start if they are fertile , hatch and survive.
