Interestingly - i have read reports in past week or so on tamiflu resistance found in turkey and donkey with H5N1 and a recent bird flu patient with a different type of tamiflu resistance (not H274Y) previously bird flu hasn't shown much resistance to tamiflu - if the trend continues this will be another important point for govt agencies to consider when formulating future stockpile balance. In addition to the potential aquisition by bird flu of h274y thru reassortment with swine or other H1N1 flus.
