Killing the chooks is not going to prevent the bird flu, it is right through the wild bird population and will just reinfect the chooks. If allowed to live most of the chooks will recover and have immunity, some will die. Adding copper to their drinking water can stop the viruses. viruses are a nutritional issue. destroying millions of chooks because of a positive test from a test that gives 95% false positives is crazy.
