Being fortunate enough to be at the meeting and having the chance to spend time with the new directors and fellow shareholders, I would like to make some comments on a few observations I made.1. There will be great communication going forward - The first thing that James and Michael organised was to ask for someone to let everyone know that the meeting will still be going ahead. Their first consideration was for the shareholders that would have made the trip to Perth or rocked up to the meeting without reading the ASX announcement. They saw this as a great opportunity to communicate with the shareholders (regardless of how many that showed up) and to address any concerns/queries that we might have. James mentioned numerous times on the importance of communicating with the share holders from a board level. I know this has been a point of frustration for many shareholders previously but I can assure you that this will no longer be the case. I get the sense that, as a shareholder, I can pick up the phone or send them an email if I had any concerns and I am guaranteed to receive a prompt response.2. They have skill sets that compliment each other Kevin - This man doesn't need any introduction. Without him purchasing that permit, we won't be where we are right now. Kevin just needs to continue what he does best and that is finding those company making resources. He managed to score one of the best hard-rock lithium deposits in the world and I think this speaks more of this man than anything I can say about him. Michael - You can really feel his passion in the lithium sector. I am not from a finance background but the way he can break down the current market and explain to even a lay person like me is an important skill in attracting new investors. He started off the meeting (wasn't recorded) by giving an overview of the supply and demand side in the lithium sector, before progressing to where BGS is at and how exactly we fit in the equation. More importantly, I believe his connections and experience in China could potentially be the catalyst for us in realizing our full potential. Being a relational culture, trust plays a big part in China. 'Guanxi' is a concept in Chinese referring to the tight social networks that shape Chinese society. I am very glad to have someone on our board that not only sees the importance of building these relationships, but is also well-informed about the product we are trying to sell.James - He is a very down to earth and humble man. As an example, during the brief introductions the new directors gave of themselves (also before the recording started), James focused mainly on his background and the posts he has held/currently hold. It was Michael that had to bring to everyone's attention that James was the chairman of a company that grew from 10 million to 1 billion. What I am most impressed about though, is the fact that he always have the shareholders' interest in mind. I lost count of the number of times that he would start or end a sentence with the perspective of a shareholders' point of view in consideration. This is what will draw new investors in. Management needs to have someone that is constantly stepping in the shoes of the shareholders and making those hard decisions based on what's best for us. People are not silly and can see this. This is how trust between management and shareholders should be built.3. BGS holders are really a great bunch of people The best thing of this whole trip is definitely having the opportunity to meet quite a few fellow BGS shareholders. As boy1 mentioned in his post, it is almost invigorating to be able to connect with so many people that are like minded. I have trouble finding people to talk to BGS about usually but Wednesday felt like a liberating experience. I could talk as much BGS as I want with everyone in the room, without having to change the topic. They also understand why I my so excited and enthusiastic in the outlook of this company. Everyone there was really friendly and easy going. I know that there will be meetings down the track in some of the east coast cities and I can't wait for my next therapy session.
