I was around for SARS & that was very close to home working in health & quite scary. I can tell you that medical specialists are concerned about this novel Corona virus here in Australia. Hyper vigilance in the health setting is not unwarranted & these masks you see people wearing in media photos are a joke. They will not prevent respiratory infection, especially if worn for some time.

With this virus having quite a lengthy incubation period, there is a risk of infection from relatively asymptomatic people, not unlike measles. Fortunately we have an effective vaccine for that & Public Health Dept warnings.

We may see this also with this one, it really has been up for discussion this week, & plane travel is a risk factor. Westmead hospital in Sydney are doing a wonderful job screening.

No wonder China has put this Provence into lockdown & building a purpose built hospital in a matter of weeks to deal with this in Wuhan, like what they did with SARS, after it spread worldwide, including here. At least people in this country will be looked after well.

I really hope BIT can develop a vaccine & University of QLD sounding promising too.

This isn’t all about money, it’s about people’s lives, if this is going to kick off like SARS.

Wishing all holders here well, if BIT can do this, not only will it be a lifesaver it will make you all a lot of money. GLTAH
