Platina Resources presented an update on its pre-feasibility studies which are being carried out at the Skaergaard gold and platinum group metals project in east Greenland. Gravity concentration testwork conducted on a bulk sample of Skaergaard Gold Zone mineralisation, using the Falcon C test procedure confirms the amenability of the Gold Zone ore to simple gravity processing, with up to 84% recoveries achieved.

Reported that first pass assay results have been received and confirm the expected continuity of the Triple Group mineralization. In addition, drilling intersections from the Palladium Zone demonstrated both slightly higher grades and widths than anticipated. A new (Inferred) Resource calculation is being undertaken in 2009, in conjunction with the commissioning of a new 3D block model.

Announced drilling results. Four drill holes were completed this year and all were successful in intersecting the important mineralized Triple Group stratigraphy. Highlight include 7m @ 2.2 g/t 2E+Au in hole PRL08_35A, 7m @ 2.0 g/t 2E+Au (including 5m @ 2.1 g/t Pd) in hole PRL08_36, AND 6m @ 1.9 g/t 2E+Au (including 2m @ 2.5 g/t Au) in hole PRL08_37.

1. The Gross Value per tonne is the sum of the precious metals grades multiplied by the metal prices plus the value of the titanium and vanadiferous magnetite after they have been converted through the secondary processing.

............ long term pices USD 400 / oz for GOLD ???? Wht price is it now ??? And what happens at USD 1500 / oz say ? Platinum and Palladium prices used are a bit on the shy side too hey ?

BUT ITS THE GOLD which has always intrigued me, and CORE section only containing the 6 mill ozs.

And btw if u look closely at the cut-offs used, kinda implies some HIGH GRADE ZONES likely in the mix as well to spice things up. Reckon thats where the next drill hills will be aimed at. Must be a feeder to all of this u might think ?

Epilogue .......... who in their right minds would be selling outa PGM at abt 20 mill market cap right now with NPV at 0.1 IG OUNCES GOLD PER SHARE and POG nudging a blue sky breakout ????? GOTTA TALK IN REAL MONEY NOW cos thats CONSTANT VALUE ......... not daily depreciating funny money heading for the dunny .

Whatever the reasons for this NICE parcel now exposed, methinks it aint gonna last too long with POG making all the right noises now.

PS IMF threatens to sell 400 tonnes of gold worth 13 billion bucks and the Chinese are effectively saying "is that all there is " haha ......... and u thought POG was headed down hey !
