You are exactly right in how difficult it is to find cART naive people here in Australia. This cuts both ways in that any treatment that results will have a very limited market.
In some ways HIV is cured as a disease of the west even though it is still a huge problem in the poorer parts of the world. This does not make it easy to attract pharma interest.
