Yes this is true, but in this I am in exactly the same position as everyone else here.
I mentioned at the top of the thread that my background is in biotech. It is hard to go into much more detail without doxxing myself.
One thing I have been thinking about is that I don't invest in ASX listed biotech companies because the investors here aren't able to differentiate between hype and reality. I stick to mining companies on the belief that investors here can tell good from bad in this sector. It has passed my mind more than once that people in the mining industry are probably investing in biotech for exactly the same reason.
