I think I would phrase it as ignorance of the drug development process. Actually I probably know more about BIT225 than the average pharma CEO, not because I know a lot, but purely because I know something.

If you are optimistic about BIT then look for recent pharma deals that have been done in the HIV space and what data the small company had at the point the deal was signed. This will give you some idea of how likely BIT has enough to interest a larger player and what they are likely to pay. This will allow you to value BIT.
