If BIT was a large pharmaceutical company and BIT-225 was exactly what BIT hopes it will be, it would still take somewhere between 5 and 7 years from this point to have a drug on the market.

More fundamentally thanks to HAART & PreP there is unlikely to be much pharmaceutical interest in a HIV cure in western countries. Putting on my cynical hat why would you as a pharmaceutical company want to turn a chronic disease that requires taking a multitude of expensive drugs into a one-off treatment?

Correct the combination drug used in the trial belonged to Gilead one of their older cart drugs. Phase 3 know doubt will be all about other interaction drugs purely for packaging, rest assured 18 years of research and development by some of the greatest minds in the world I’m pretty sure they’ve got this. Time will tell you bet ya
