Nevertheless, trials are there to 1) see if the compound is safe to use on patients and, 2) to see if it actually works.

My original comment came from a poster that suggested the product just be released - which won't happen if those two goals are not met - and that would also indicate that the authorising bodies have not passed it to be released.

BIT is not there yet. Early trials and I doubt BP are shaking in their boots. Let's wait until BIT notches up a few successes with trials first - and then gets into phase 3 trials - then it becomes interesting to BP.

You say it does work - but with no phase 3 trials, then that statement can't be justified. Define "works".
