He is basically telling everyone that they should not invest in the share market and keep their money in the bank, because the stress of being invested, and possibly losing it is not worth it. If that’s how he feels, then fine, but he seems to assume that everyone should be exactly like him and be risk adverse. In the last 12 months I have doubled my paper profits across my share portfolio, to do the same with my money in the bank would take 15-20 years assuming an ave 5% interest rate. Putting it in Super would be a better option especially I you can take advantage of the direct share investment option, but it is restricted to the ASX200 and unless you have a SMF you couldn’t invest in companies like BIT until they had already become successful and made it into that index.
