I’ve a bit of an interest in virology but having been looking at this company recently am wondering what is the point of Biotron. So if I’ve understood this correctly , they’ve been around for pretty much two decades, CEO in role since 2002. Just think how much has changed in medicine since then (eg direct antivirals in hcv) . 20 years is the entire patent life of a drug. In that time a company would have completed its entire clinical study programme phases 1-3, marketed the drug and reached patent expiry! What are the achievements of this company in 20 years? They seem to be tinkering. It’s astonishing actually it can be allowed to drift on like this. Is it just an academic’s hobby? And I take it in the end they had nothing to show at this conference regarding their SARS Cov2 work?
