many of the cytokines are elevated in different diseases, and the cytokine storm is not unique to Covid. There are many drugs that target individual cytokines, including some for Covid being trialled and used, such as remdesivir. There are also others, most notably Viroporin Inhibitors that are being trialled for C-19. So as you can see, it is a real mix and match.

In short, these abovementioned drugs work against increased levels of IL-6, which is present within many inflamations, arthritis included.

So we can't categorically rule out what else that 225 may be used for in the future, but presently we need to stick to HIV and C-19.
