your assumption is that retail investors have not learned from being burnt the first time .This is possible but not certain. The institutions are not likely to move to far into Altcoins as they are limited by their rules in fact I can only find ones investing in BTC but I have a vague memory of one investing in the top 3 or 5 coins . Because of the institution buying this market overall is more educated about the crypto world and more sophisticated in their strategies than 2017. Grayscales is still buying 20% of all newly mined BTC . It is only by a surge of ignorant retail buyers that I see the insanity of 2017 reocurring you actually dont see that to much in a life time
