I am amazed at the amount of misinformation floating around on this one. Centro managements inability to describe in plain words what the situation is does not help - but I presume the CEO will pay the price for this.
It would be worth people thinking of buying or selling CNP to read all recent announcements very carefully. Particularly the CMBS one. Check every sentence and look up words like LVR and ICR to see what they mean and how they are used.
Form a mental picture of how the company is structured and its relationship with CER. Understand where these $20 odd Billion Dollar and $5 Billion Dollar debt figures come from.
Dig out the commentary on the Fitch credit downgrade and find out why it was applied.
Then make a call on whether to buy or sell.
