For me it was more about hitching a ride (last yr) on the wave of institutions entering BTC which til then was just retail investors. I only recently re entered again based on possibly another wave of fomo instos/big money. Get your point- I took my profits but left a bit on the table. There's a lot of people pissed off with bankers, Gold/Silver manipulation, constant debt creation/printing and in a world flooded with money looking for a safe place to hide a percentage of it.... if only a small number choose BTC it will potentially head a lot higher.
