So far this month, ie. the first 30 hours of April, the price has varied by 17%, with a low of 435, and a high of 509. Its 482 as I write (Bitstamp price)
By the time a movement is written up or attributed to an event, it is already out of date.
Its going to take time for the newswriters to adjust to this new paradigm of instant, 24/7, action.
The old idea of price, -> news event, -> new price, - only holds for a few minutes or seconds, before the next event takes charge. It is totally different to how the stock market reacts, although that too is very different today with the very-fast and hi-frequency trading effects.
