If they want to they will do whatever is necessary.
To give you some idea the ATO can already take an axe to your door when ever they like to search for your documents or evidence WITH OUT A WARRANT. These are decades long standing powers.
They can do much worse if they want to eg seize assets, prohibit travel jail you etc etc
