while money maybe leaving grayscale to trade shares in the secondary market others have continued pumping in . It should be noticed that the method of buying into grayscale is that you give them your bitcoin you never get it back in return you are given shares in the grayscale con which you cannotb trade for six months . The shares value is based on the value of the bitcoin held by the fund . When the six months are up you can trade the shares in a secondary market. Many are believed to have borrowed shares in the belief that the price of their shares would be higher at maturation than when they bought. For some it is lower they have the choice of
1. waiting longer
2. selling at a loss
3. averaging down
They may or may not be able to extend the loan of bitcoin . If they chose to sell out they will need to buy coin to replace those they borrowed .
Rothchilds investment corp has increased its direct exposure to grayscale by 300% and therefore its indirect exposure to bitcoin by the same percentage over the last quarter . They may have been better off buying the coin itself
