Seriously what advantage has any of those services you just mentioned got over traditional currency?

What's the point of crypto if I can just buy something with the dollar anyway.

If the simple fact it's simultaneously an "investment" and a currency is your main argument, then I ask you why can't I just pick stocks and use the money from them to buy things?

If the fact it's finite makes it appealing to you. Then I ask how would that help in situations like the pandemic? How could governments spread out the impact of Covid over years like they've done? They couldn't. We'd all have been hit instantly and there would have been millions of homeless and starving if not for government support that was made possible through the ability to print money.

Contrary to the opinion of the stupid people in the world, inflation to some degree was expected and planned after 2020. It's a by-product of having helped the people that needed it at the time. Future prosperity was borrowed against in order to fund the problems of the present.

In a crypto world, that ^ can't happen and the whole thing gets destroyed.

Not to mention your entire life savings can go down the drain if you lose your ability to access your account. I mean that alone is reason enough not to hold any crypto.
