What do you mean by trust void ? as a store of wealth i presume you mean , gold a solid option..any precious metals an option; gold the benchmark. btc has its own issues doesn't it; loss of passwords.. hacking ; a better technology coming along and replacing it ?
and on cryptos being an alternative to fiat ; well they'd actually have to start getting used as a currency.. ofc and that hadnt been adopted at all really by decent economies
