It's incorrect to think that Bitcoin is worth "nothing".

Even Gates' mate Warren Buffett never said cryptos were worth "nothing". He just said he wouldn't pay US$25 for all the cryptocurrency in the world.

This means he MIGHT pay, say, US$15, $16 or $17 for the lot. Which is around AUD $25.

Now if we assume there are 100 million cryptocoins in circulation, that means Buffett could ascribe a value of $25 ÷ 100,000,000 or AUD$0.00000025 per coin.
Unfortunately, this astronomical amount of wealth is not all it seems.

Firstly, Buffett called this form of currency "Rat poison squared", so we have to take the square root which gives us AUD$0.00000005 per coin.

Also, Bitcoin makes up less than half of this, but let's assume half anyway, giving those BTC hodlers AUD $0.000000025.

Which is pretty good when you consider that the mostly younger generation who own the world's cryptocurrencies came into this world with nothing, will have ended up financially the wiser, and at least have "something" to show for their education.
