Most if not all other industries have to have the electricity moved to them. Most mining at the moment is done in areas of renewable energy because its cheaper. A large amount has been done in some provinces in China because of an overbuild of hydro dams producing electricity . Simmilarly there is at the moment an excess of hydo in scandanavia and the miners are moving to there . Texas and Alberta are attracting miners who are burning off methane gas that previously went into the atmosphere in order to create cheap electricity.
