What this company really needs is for our board to remove uncertainty from the market. To do this they need to inform the shareholders how they intend to fund operations (most likely Capital Raise or Option Conversion) and further trial work. Both phase II HIV trial and phase III HCV trials.
It is clear that we will need backing by a major to do all of this. Until the board announce who the backer/backers are, then the SP will probably remain fairly static, when the strategy is announced and if favorable BIT has the potential to re-rate significantly to the upside.
Buyers of BITO are gambling that this can all happen in the next 6 weeks. If it does not then the company has to raise Capital which IMO would be by far their least favourable option and BITO holders do their dough! I for one will be pushing (via email) for the board to clarify this situation as soon as possible to ease uncertainty/anxiety about the future of this company.
