Both MM and PN have claimed that they are fully funded for the HIV trial. I have asked them point blank and they have confirmed. Now, they could be lying - but, that's their position.
Lack of lab staff is not a hurdle. Lab staff and laboratories are available for hire.
The reality is (the way I see it), MM is looking for a rabbit and she is trying to get a rabbit out of Zika. Of course, the HIV trial could be a roaring success and they get a deal etc.
