Hmmm ... we do dumb things in this country ..

Gillard killed the beef export market of beef to Indonesia and every effort to rebuild it has failed .. the Indo's don't trust us. Our beef was providing protein to over 500,000 people who now starve. Indo's have no 'grasslands' for meet production and efforts to grow feed has made meat to expensive for ordinary people.

Heard a news item last week where Indonesia now wants to BUY GRAZING LAND UP NORTH THREE TIMES THE SIZE OF THE STATE OF ACT ... no doubt they will grow beef for export back home.

The greed of the supermarket duopoly is sending DAIRY FARMERS to the wall and farms are near worthless .. some walk of their farms .. other suicide.

A Tasmanian real estate agent has responded by taking her business to Shanghai in China where she now sells Tasmanian dairy farms to Chinese business people who use the land to grow vegetables for Chinese local consumption.

Dairy land is the richest in terms of water and soil and represents less than 9% of arable land in Australia and we are selling it off for bugger all ... we are nuts !!!
