Yes I understand the problem of foreign ownership and Im with you we absolutely should stop foreign ownership of farming land.
The problem is if foreign ownership wasn't allowed then the farming properties probably would not get sold and the owners would in a lot of cases go broke. There is just not enough people in Australia to support that kind of trade. Other countries have a much bigger population and so many more buyers.
What is the answer, we stop foreign ownership and the farms don't get sold. Maybe put a a 50yr lease on ownership of farming land with the covenant that it must be worked and staffed by Australians.
It is a difficult problem to fix.
