For context, Bivacor's artificial heart is for patients with no other options and is intended as a bridge to keep patients alive until they can receive a heart transplant. I hope for potential patients' sake that it works but this will be a very risky trial and it doesn't exactly look like the most high-tech piece of equipment. I can't find anything that says it will need valves added.
